Administrators are able to invite multiple members of the same type (Administrators, Agents, Campaign Managers, Teamleaders, QA’s, QA Managers, and Office Employees) to an organization by using a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol or LDAP.
To enable this feature an Administrator needs to access the “Edit Organization” view by clicking on the settings button on the top right-hand side of the dashboard and selecting the “Edit Organization”.
Firstly, you will need to create an LDAP group.
From the Organization Information view select the pencil icon next to LDAP Groups.
You will be taken to a new view where LDAP Groups can be created by clicking on the plus symbol on the far right-hand side of the dashboard.
Next, select the role of the members that will be invited.
Once you have selected the role of the members that will be invited using the LDAP mass invitation method click on “Next”
Now you will be required to input the LDAP Path, this is the path to your Active Directory which houses your member information.
Once you have filled in the LDAP Path click on “Finish” to save your new LDAP group.
Now that the LDAP group has been created you will need to set up and enable the LDAP Sync.
Select the pencil icon on the right-hand side of “LDAP Sync Enabled”
This will open the LDAP Sync Settings tile.
Here you will need to input the Server URL (the location of your member list) as well as the Username and Password used to access the server.
Once completed select “Done” this will save the information that you have input.
Now that the LDAP Groups and server information has been captured select the enabled/ disable toggle switch to enable the LDAP Sync.
*NB there is no validation done on the following inputs:
- LDAP Path
- Server URL
And all members that are not on the LDAP Directory list will be removed from the organization while all members on within the LDAP Directory List will be sent invitations.
When LDAP Sync is enabled, the invitation widget is disabled.
