Creating a Load Balancer:
Step 1:
Select the Load Balancer tile on the Administration dashboard
Step 2:
Select the plus (+) symbol on the right-hand side of the Load Balancers dashboard.
Step 3:
Once the Load Balancer creation tile appears give your load balancer a name and start creating the outputs.
Step 4:
To create an output click on the plus symbol on the Load balancer creation tile
Give your output a name and percentage. The percentage will dictate the percentage of calls that will be routed through that specific output.
*imp - a minimum of two (2) outputs must be created. The total percentage of all outputs must be equal to one hundred percent (100%).
Step 5:
Once you have created your outputs click on the “Done” button.
Your newly created Load Balancer will appear.
*imp - the numbers on the load balancer tile show the number of flows the load balancer is allocated to.
Implementing the Load Balancer in your Flow:
Load Balancer nodes can be added to existing flows or you can create a new flow to implement your Load Balancer.
Step 1:
Select the Load Balancer node from the available Nodes in your Work Flow Designer.
Step 2:
Select the three (3) dots next to the node name to view the drop-down list.
Step 3:
Select the “edit” option.
Step 4:
Select the relevant Load Balancer from the “Select Load Balancer” Tile and click “Done”.
Step 5:
Your Load Balancer node will now show you all available outputs and allow you to further customize your flow design.
Viewing Load Balancer outputs and percentages:
Step 1:
To view the Load Balancers outputs and current percentages click on the three (3) dots next to the relevant Load Balancers name.
Step 2:
Select “View” from the drop-down list
Step 3:
Click on the available tab to view all outputs and current percentages.
Editing an existing Load Balancer:
Add future-dated default ratio:
Step 1:
Click on the three (3) dots next to the relevant Load balancer.
Step 2:
From the drop-down select the “Add Future-Dated Default Ratio” option.
Step 3:
Select the date and time when the change to the Load Balancer will take effect.
Once done click on the plus (+) symbol next to the output section to set the new percentages for your outputs.
Step 4:
Type in the original output names and input the new percentages.
*imp - if the output names don’t match the original output names then the changes will fail. Percentages of all outputs must equal 100%.
Please note that the output names are case and space sensitive.
Step 5:
Click “Done” to save the changes, the changes can be viewed by clicking on the three (3) dots next to the Load Balancers name and selecting the “view” option.
Click on the relevant default load balancer settings to view the output names and percentages.
Creating a Temporary Load Balancer ratio:
Step 1:
Click on the three (3) dots next to the relevant Load balancer.
Step 2:
Click on the “Add Temporary Ratio” option.
Step 3:
Select a Start and End date and time for your temporary ratio.
Once done click on the plus (+) symbol next to the outputs section.
Step 4:
Type in the Output names and set the temporary percentages.
*imp - The output names must match the previously set output names or else the changes to the Load Balancer will fail to save. The total of the percentages must equal one hundred percent (100%). Please note that the output names are case and space sensitive.
Step 5:
Click “Done” to save the temporary ratios the changes can be viewed by clicking on the three (3) dots next to the Load Balancers name and selecting the “view” option.
Step 6:
Select the “Temporary” Tab
Step 7:
Click on the relevant temporary load balancer settings to view the output names and percentages.
