A Transfer List is an efficient way of transferring calls to people quickly. The following method will demonstrate how to transfer a call.
*imp - A transfer list can only be created by an Administrator.
In the image example below you will notice that a call was received by the agent.
To transfer a call using a transfer list the agent needs to click on the Transfer List button as below.
You will notice two fields in the image below. “Select transfer list” and “Select transfer recipient or enter number”.
There are two ways to use the transfer list method 1 is as follows:
Step 1: Click on the “Select transfer list” field to select the transfer list as seen below..
Step 2: Now that the transfer list is selected, you click on the “Select transfer recipient or enter number” field.
This will open the list of the names and numbers you could transfer to as seen below.
Step 3: All you have to do now is select the name of the contact you require and select the Consult or Transfer button as seen below.
Allows you to type in a number in the “select transfer recipient or enter number” field without selecting a transfer list.
This method will allow you to consult or transfer to numbers that are not captured on a transfer list.
*imp - by clicking on consult will allow you to speak to the person you want to transfer the call to before you actually transfer the call (Warm Transfer) and the Transfer button will allow you to do a cold transfer (Blind transfer) without consulting. When clicking on the Transfer button the call will connect automatically.
If you decide to choose the consult function and speak to the party, then you would need to click on the Connect Parties option to connect the two parties you require to speak to each other as below.
